The Heart of Asia

Taipei is an amazing city to experience. A city definitely driven by cuisine, the cost of living is relatively inexpensive, and there is enough to fill up a week’s time. And we didn’t even get to explore the rest of the island!

The Changing of the Guard ceremony at Chiang Kai Shek Memorial happens every hour during the day. The 10+ minute ceremony is an impressive sight to see.

Bubble Tea and Food

We wandered past so many bubble tea and food shops. The small shops all had amazing food, and the highlights for us were shaved ice cream, pork buns, and xiaolongbao.

So Many Sights, So Little Time

We didn’t even come close to seeing everything, but our recommendations include Jiufen, which bears a striking resemblance to the market in Spirited Away, any night market, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial, Taipei 101, Shifen, and Lungshan Temple.
